So, where to start? The world is going through a tough period. We do not know what is going to happen, we do not know where our life is going, we do not know when things will return to “normal,” we cannot plan.
But wait, when we say “normal,” what are we talking about? Because I said that a lot at the beginning of the lockdown, but then I stopped and I thought, “do I really want to go back to my normal life, do I want to go back to that?”
Do not get me wrong, I like my life. Of course, there are a few things I would change, but I worked hard to get where I am right now, and so I’m proud of myself. However, I was living in the same routine that everyone seems to be in, between work, home, gym and time with my friends. I was comfortable in my routine, however, since quarantine, I have seen another side of me, a new perspective.
At first, I was depressed, and only had negative thoughts about this situation, which didn’t help, so I asked myself, how can I change my perspective, how can I use this free time given to me?
Usually, we feel like we do not have enough time for ourselves, we cannot do what we really want to, we complain we are tired… constantly.
But now, the quarantine has given us an opportunity, it’s given us time for ourselves, a lot of time. I remember during the summer holidays, I never had these negative feelings, so why now?
Of course, we find ourselves in a horrible situation, however, it’s easy to be negative in times like these, but those feelings won’t help, so why bother?
Use this time you have to make a positive change in your life, what that looks like, is up to you!
